The Best Belt Bags for Traveling

Belt bags are my favorite. Also known as fanny packs or hip packs, they’re versatile and can be worn multiple ways. If you’re traveling, staying hands-free can be a huge plus. I like that the smaller size forces me to carry the essentials so that I don’t strain my shoulder or back. PSA: If you do need to carry more items, save your back and use a backpack.

Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag

Lululemon Everywhere Belt Bag, $38

Sleek styling, affordable price, and a current it bag. You can get away with pairing this with everything from dresses to yoga leggings. Chances are, you’ve seen this in your Instagram feed.

Patagonia Ultralight Black Hole Mini Hip Pack

Patagonia Ultralight Black Hole Mini Hip Pack, $29

I love this bag because it comes in so many colorways that you will never lose yours in a sea of black bags. It’s lightweight, easy to pack, and fits everything you could need for a day of exploring a new city.

Pop & Suki Camera Bag

Pop & Suki Camera Bag, $155

While this bag isn’t as sporty as my other favorite waist packs, it is even more versatile. You can switch up the straps and carry the bag as a fanny pack, a crossbody purse, or even as a backpack. You can find affordable options on secondhand retail sites like Poshmark, Mercari, and Depop.
